Hello!
I hope your weekends were all warm enough - it feels properly cold in London now and I do not like it. This weekend was Bonfire Night, which, for friends outside of the UK (and maybe friends inside the UK, if you’re not in London?/England? I’m actually not sure how far Guy Fawkes stretches. (Pun unintended, but I’m leaving it there.)) is when we all celebrate the potential for blowing up the Houses of Parliament, Guy Fawkes’ thwarted plan to do just that, and then his horrific punishment. That’s a very rough overview, but nothing if not dramatic.
Before I jump into the prompt for this week, here’s a reminder in case you missed it, that you can read Emma Brankin’s short story, Caturday, here - and you’ll also get £6 off of her collection, Attention Seekers, for the whole of November, if you buy it here using code SEEKERS. Enjoy!
An annual paid subscription for Cursive Knives is just £2 a month. As a paid subscriber, you’ll have access to all of the weekly prompts and community posts, as well as discounts on course fees.
