Hello!
Last week on Instagram, I asked people for their tips for getting out of a reading rut, and more people were in a post-summer slump than out of one, so here are some of the responses and some ideas to get you back into the book stacks…
Read something spicy or silly
Try a totally new genre
Go somewhere new with your book to read it in a different environment
Pick up something short and speedy - try short stories or a novella instead of tackling War and Peace
Re-read an old favourite
Find something new from a favourite writer
Ask someone you trust for a good recommendation
(*ahem*, we’ll be reading Her Body & Other Parties at the end of October!)Go to bed earlier, take a new book
DNF it if it’s the book’s fault - not everything is for everyone, and life’s too short for slogging through bad books
What would you add to the list?
